Very Sensitive Tactful Friend

Be a VERY SENSITIVE TACTFUL FRIEND by applying this strategy.
– Without firstly validating and acknowledging the feelings, it is likely we wont be able to jump to a healthy future mindset.

🤗*VALIDATE* – Validate how your friend is feeling
E.g your friend has just been through a marriage break up “You’re feeling upset? and angry? gosh, yes, that’s completely understandable given what you’ve been through”

👂*STORY* – Let them share their feelings through their story
E.g your friend tells you her husband cheated on her with a girl from his work. Allow your friend the space, without judgment, pep talks, interrupting or comparisons, to vent the emotions through the story.

🗣*TRUTH* – Identify what is truth and what is a story
–> The story is the emotional handbrake. The truth is the eject button into allowing someone to catapult forward toward a healthy future.
e.g your friend’s story is centred around how her husband cheated on her how she is having to cope with being single again while her ex husband gets to start a joyful life.
Truth: Your husband and you are divorced/separated. End it there.

💃*Future* – Identify what they now want their future to look, feel and sound like
“So what do you want your future to look like, now?”


–> Only after acknowledging feelings, having our stories heard, and identifying the truth, can we look to the future and start creating the masterpiece our heart desires!
